This week we’ve introduced a new, enhanced security feature two-factor authentication to all of our data room users. Two-factor authentication, (2FA), is an extra layer of protection in place to ensure the security of online accounts beyond just a username and password.
This feature has been requested by many of our clients and is now seen as an important part of the evolving cyber security landscape.
Accessing your accounts with an email address and password is ok, but through some clever social engineering these details can easily be guessed or stolen. 2FA adds another access barrier for unauthorized guests who might have got their hands on your primary login credentials.
How does it work?
When you’re setting up 2FA, you’re in control to add your mobile number that provides you with authorisation to generate and receive codes.
When a user logs in from a new browser, a unique authenticating code will be sent to their mobile phone and registered email address. This code will then grant entry to your online account with us. It’s simple, unobtrusive and can play a central role in protecting your data room from outside threats.

Well, unless unwanted visitors have access to your password, mobile phone and email address, they won’t be able to enter your account.

No. We feel that it is an easy step to take, with such an advantage that it should be turned on for all data room users.
Are there any fees?
No, we have applied two-factor authentication for free as it is essential protection against the increasing threat of cybercrime.
